Personality Dis-orders - Personality Gone Awry

We will look at the personality organization of Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD) and the personality disorders (PDs) known as the ‘Schizophrenias’ and where these dis-orders lie on the introversion and extraversion spectrum.  I will discuss ‘Personality gone awry’, behavioural characteristics of BPD, NPD and the schizophrenias, how a personality disorder is diagnosed and look at some of the difficulties people with personality disorders have in gaining a sense of self, compared to a ‘healthy’ personality which can gain an objective view of itself and make necessary changes. We will look at a case study of NPD and BPD and the impact of these PDs in the workplace.
